Is there an age limit for the train? Can my one-year-old ride?
No. Anyone can ride our train. We have had riders as young as a couple
of weeks old and as old as 90 years young. We ask that a parent or older sibling accompany
young children. Common sense is your best guide when deciding if a rider is appropriate.

We have a nearby park. Can you operate the train in a park?
Neighborhood parks are great places to have a train ride party. You will need to check with your city recreation department to see if it is OK. Most city parks require a fee and proof of insurance to use them. If you plan to use a park, please contact
them with the information before hiring us. We will help you work out the details.

Do you have insurance?
Yes.
We carry a $1,000,000 insurance policy.

Where can you operate your train?
With its powerful John Deere Diesel engine, Roaming Railroad
can operate on Pavement, Concrete, Grass and hard packed dirt or gravel. The
train is also available with an electric engine which allows it to be used
indoors on smooth hard surfaces. The train is not able to jump curbs or timbers
with either engine. (Please be sure to inform us if you desire the electric
engine for indoor use as the Diesel engine is what comes standard with all
rentals.)

Do you charge extra for travel time or mileage?
There is a $1 a mile (each way) fee added to all rentals for delivery of the
train. The address used to calculate this is the Suffield, CT Post Office
at 235 Mountain Road, Suffield, CT 06078. (MapQuest is our method of calculating
this fee.)

Will you travel long distances or out of state?
Yes. For all day events like festivals, we will travel out of state at no extra charge.

Where are you located?
We are located in Suffield, CT, which is about 90 miles west of Boston, MA., 90
miles east of Albany, NY, 20 miles north of Hartford, CT and 10 miles south of
Springfield, MA. We are conveniently located less than 2 hours away from
New York City.

What if it rains or I need to cancel?
Since practically all festivals and events are booked on a RAIN or SHINE basis,
we will be there. Our train has covered passenger cars and people seem to
enjoy riding in the rain. If you decide to cancel your event, we will
still need to be paid, since scheduling the train for your event would have kept
us from booking the train for someone else.

What forms of payments do you accept?
We only accept cash, money orders, or certified checks.

Any other questions?
Please call or email us with any other questions. We will be glad to help you in anyway possible.
